Introduction
I named this blog a few months ago, but until today haven't written a post. I wanted to start a blog for other young professionals, much like myself, who want to pursue a career in historic preservation. There aren't a lot of blogs on preservation in general, let alone many designed for people just starting out in their careers.
I wanted to create this blog as an outlet to share my experiences and discoveries in the field of historic preservation. I plan to include my opinions, thoughts, and any useful resources I discover along the way.
So far my experiences in preservation are rather limited, but increasing everyday. I have some survey field work experience and national register nomination writing knowledge, but that's about all. This August I began a masters degree in historic preservation and am now about a month into the program. I'm starting to think more about the professional direction I want to follow post graduation and the many issues and challenges surrounding historic preservation.
